Overview

This is a secondary safety lock designed to secure aircraft seats to their rail system in case the OEM latch fails. It uses a cam mechanism that engages when the handle is pressed down against the seat rails, and version 2.1 offers adjustability to fit different rail manufacturers or compensate for rail wear. The lock is designed for quick, one-handed operation and can be moved between aircraft without any airframe modification. It also helps reduce wear on seat track holes caused by the steel pin in the latch mechanism.
