Overview

EkoFill protects the substrate from ultraviolet (UV) radiation by both absorbing and reflecting UV radiation. This is an extremely important characteristic for fabric-covered aircraft as well as some composite aircraft and components. During STC testing, the complete fabric process containing three crosscoats of EkoFill was tested for UV resistance under very intense UV exposure simulating many years of sunlight. The pass standard allows up to 20% loss of tensile strength — EkoFill lost only 0.5%, ensuring fabric and composite components last for decades even when stored outside.

Secondly, EkoFill fills minor imperfections and sands to a smooth, level finish, and can be used on fabric as well as composite.
